Ankit Koirala is a Ph.D. student in Sustainable Forest Management at Oregon State University, specializing in forest economics, wildfire management, and natural resource policy. He holds advanced degrees in Applied Economics, Public Policy, and Agricultural Economics, with over a decade of academic and professional experience in Nepal, India, and the United States. Ankit has taught courses ranging from climate change economics to fisheries and wildlife law, and his research includes the economic impacts of megafires on recreational businesses. A committed leader, he has served in multiple university, community, and international roles, advancing equity, sustainability, and science-policy engagement.
